Donald Girard, 84, of Salinas, California went to heaven on June 8, 2018. Donald, the son of the late Serj and Marybelle Girard, was born in Martinez and moved to the Marina area approximately 60 years ago. After college, Don joined the Air Force as a pharmacist. After leaving active duty, he was the owner of "Girard’s Marina Rexall Pharmacy" in Marina for decades. He later worked at Natividad Medical Center, and Bob Sousa's Alisal Drug Pharmacy. He was an honorable and dependable man with a great sense of humor. He is survived by his daughters Kim and Cindy, and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Girard and his daughter Mary. He will be greatly missed by his family. A private family service will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or the Parkinson’s Institute, 675 Almanor Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
