Donald Seavey
January 16th, 1943 - April 9th, 2018
Don was born on January 16, 1943, in Wilmington, NC. He passed away April 9, 2018. He devoted his early time to the United States Army and was proud of his service until the day he died. After his time in the Vietnam War, he married his high school sweetheart Joanne Marie Dibala where he devoted the rest of his life to her, his children and his grandchildren. While in the Army he was awarded a Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Parachute Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and he was also awarded 2 Bronze Star Medals. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Barker Seavey Sr., his mother, Cora Orlane Godfrey and his wife Joanne who passed September 4, 2014. He is survived by his sister, Marion Orlane Abbott of Tilton, NH, his son, Donald (DJ) Barker Seavey III of Cheyenne, WY, his daughter Anne Elizabeth Seavey (Jason Pressley) of Aurora, CO, and his 4 granddaughters Sydney Cheyenne Seavey, Madison Delaney Seavey, Riley Helton Seavey and Lexa Lee Seavey Pressley. Services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Staging area C at 1:00 pm.
