Donna Marie Nichols

WEST COLUMBIA-Graveside services for Donna Marie Nichols, 51, of West Columbia, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Celestial Memorial Gardens. Pastor Greg Stair will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Donna passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Margaret Nichols and the late William Nichols. She lived for the Lord and was a good Christian woman. Donna was a member of West Columbia Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving in addition to her mother, Margaret Nichols of Cayce; her daughter, Amanda Nyman and husband, James of Greenville; son, Cody Bessinger of Cayce; her beloved granddaughter, Bailey Ann Nyman of Greenville; siblings, Gary Nichols of Rembert, Bobby Nichols of West Columbia, Troy Nichols of Leesville, Robert Smith of Tennessee and Regina Perkins of Roanoke, VA; and cousins, Becky Collins and her son, Jason Collins and Jennifer Farraris. The family would like to thank the ICU nurses and doctors of Lexington Medical Center, they went above and beyond to make our loved one comfortable. We offer a heartfelt thanks to everyone that participated in her care. Thanks also to the staff of Regency Hospice and Palmetto Baptist Medical Center for their compassionate care.
