Doris Kammerer Arnold, 81 of Venice, FL passed away November 3, 2007. Doris was born March 7, 1926. She came to Venice 22 years ago from Baltimore, MD. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Christ United Methodist Church, was a member of the Plantation Golf and Country Clubs Women’s Golf Association and Bridge Club, a member of the Towson Golf and Country Club and the Optimist Club both located in Baltimore, MD. She was married for 60 wonderful years to her true love Anthony J. Arnold, Sr. who passed away in January. Survivors include one son; Anthony J. Arnold, Jr. of Venice, FL, two daughters, Robin Babes of Ft. Myers, FL and Diane Litz of Lutherville, MD, one sister; Thelma Prochaska of Boston, MA, three grandchildren; Natalie Bissonnette, Brooke and Allison Babes and two great grandchildren; Jack and Will Bissonnette. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 1:30 pm at the Christ United Methodist Church located at 1475 Center Road, Venice, Florida with Rev. Steven Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doris’s name to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
