Doris E (Jordan) Newsom 1360 S Stuart Way, then at Hallmark Nursing Center both in Denver, CO, she was 90 years old. She died on Tuesday, Oct 25, 2011 of natural causes related from dementia Doris was born on June 11, 1921 in Faith, SD to John and Isabelle (Babcock) Jordan she was one of 14 children. She married Ovel Newsom in Denver Co July 10,1037. She worked at Gates Rubber Co during the war and at Denver Dry Goods, Denver Wax Museum, retiring from Woolworths in Lakewood. She belonged to Al-Anon Family Groups. Her hobbies were drawing, crocheting, knitting and ceramics. She crocheted angels and snowflakes that she sold at Lakewood Senior Center in Lakewood, She is survived by two sons, Lloyd (Lorraine) Newsom and Clyde (Gayla) Newsom and one daughter Shirley Newsom Gamez (RC Couture). Grandchildren are Robyne Newsom, Tammie Newsom, Charley (Kari) Newsom, Jesse (Nona) Gamez, Carol (Jason) Jensen, Michael (Kristen) Newsom, Dylan (Bridgett) Gamez, and Jeffrey Newsom. Great grandchildren: Jade Gamez, Blake Hoyland, Kobi Hoyland, Jacob Newsom, Izabella Newsom, Scout Newsom Tristen Gamez and Mikaelen Newsom. Doris is has two sisters Elsie Barnett, and Ruby (David) Hanna, two brothers David (Donna) Jordan and Irving (LuAnn) Jordan, and many nieces and nephews. She has step grand children Shannon (Billie) Smith, and Heidi (Justin) Huertado. Great step-grandchildren Austin, Jordan, Jazz, Will, Jeffrey, Marlene, Aden, Angelo, & Mariah. Preceded her in death are her parents John and Isabelle Jordan, husband Ovel Newsom, brothers Bill Jordan, Adam Jordan, Francis Jordan, Herman Jordan, Walter Jordan, John Jordan, and Earl Jordan.
