Dorothy ""Dot"" Jean Congleton, age 85, of Venice, FL, died on February 25, 2016. She was born in Progress, PA on August 15, 1930. Dot was a Cub Scout Den Mother and volunteer for numerous organizations. As a member of the Lutheran Faith, she was very involved in leadership positions in her churches. Dot enjoyed bowling, playing cards and Mahjong. Surviving family members include her husband, Ike, of Venice; sons David (Joyce) of Landisville, PA, Daniel of Pennsville, NJ, Jay of Nokomis, FL, and Isaac, Jr. of Venice, FL; daughter Debra Congleton (Jeff Sutton) of Englewood, FL; brothers Ronald (Jean ) Weigle, William (Lisa) Weigle, and Robert (Linda) Weigle; sisters Judy Asprocolas, and Sandy (Jan) Zeigler; 7 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Saturday, March 5th at 1 PM.
