Dorothy Elsie Seppala
March 10th, 1931 - September 12th, 2020
Dorothy Elsie Seppala, 89, of Cloquet, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 in New Perspective, Barnum. She was born March 10, 1931 in Sandstone, the youngest child of John and Elsie Withoff. Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of Cloquet High School. She married Ervin Seppala on February 14, 1951. Dorothy worked as a library aide for the Cloquet Public Schools for 25 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed crafts, sewing and her flower gardens, especially her dahlias and gladiolas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; great grandchild, Joseph Crockett; and her two brothers, Alfred and James Withoff. Dorothy is survived by her children, Jerry (LaDonna) Seppala of Bovey and Dianne (Michael) Keane of White Bear Lake; six grandchildren, Melissa Korpela, Alicia Crockett, Karina Seppala, Bradley (Angela) Keane, Jason (Heather) Seppala and Ross (Dana) Keane; and eight great grandchildren, Kannon, Scarlett, Sascha, Chiron, Zane, Addison, Levi and Kenzie. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service, Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Masks and social distancing are required. Private family inurnment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Letters and cards of condolence may be sent to the family c/o Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, MN 55720.
