Doug "Dirty Doug" Wallace Keim
October 27th, 1956 - May 6th, 2023
Doug Wallace Keim “Dirty Doug”, 66, of Longmont used the last of “his 9 lives” and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and close friends on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Doug was born October 27, 1956, in Denver, CO to Richard W and Donal L (Kump) Keim. Doug was an avid hunter, spending many seasons in Cortez and Maybell, CO. Doug loved fishing anywhere he could cast a pole, but especially with friends at Beaver Lake. Doug had a love for motorcycles and shared many trips to Sturgis with his brother Noel on his custom built 1979 Harley Davidson Shovelhead. Doug was quick witted with an infectious sense of humor. He was a man full of personality and countless jokes. There was never a dull moment when he was around, including when he went to clown school. Doug worked hard all his life and made an honest living as a machinist for 20+ years. He was a selfless man who would give the shirt off his back and the first to offer a helping hand. He spent several years donating his time and efforts to Make-a-Wish Frank’s Ride. He was a longtime member of The American Legion Post 32. His passing has left an unfillable gap in the heart of his family and friends. Doug was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend but his most cherished title was “Pappy” to his beloved grandsons Hunter and Chance Keim. Doug is preceded in death by his father, Richard W, his mother Donal L, his brothers Noel II and Noel Keim III. He is survived by his son, Doug Keim II (Tiffany), his sisters Georgia Lindsey (Kemp), Della Martin (Hal), Jill Haskins, Shadow Callaway (Michael) and brother Calvin Keim. Doug had a special place in his heart for his numerous nieces and nephews, his great nephews and great niece, and his longtime friend Marci Hettich and her daughter Jenny. A celebration of life service will be held at 1pm on July 8, 2023, at The American Legion Post 32, 315 S. Bowen St., Longmont, CO 80501 with a reception to follow.
