Douglas E. Marvin, 80, of Lakeland, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born November 28, 1936 to Clarence and Irene Marvin in Detroit, Michigan, he moved here in 2004 from Waterford, MI. He was retired from AT&T, was an avid golfer and a member of Schalamar Creek Community Church. He is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Sue; his children, Kim (Rick) Hermansen of Waterford, MI, Karen Jackson of Houston, TX, Kevin (Lori) Marvin of Walled Lake, MI, and Ken (Linda) Marvin of Goshen, NY; a sister, Dolores Bremer of Livonia, MI; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. On Saturday February 4th from 6-9, a Memorial Service will be held in the ballroom, followed by light snacks and drinks on Doug. A Celebration of Life will be held in Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to www.unitywalk.org search for Team Name "Miracle Marvins". Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
