Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Dr. Valli M. Gambina
September 16th, 1964 - February 6th, 2019
Born in White Stone, NY; graduated from Mamaroneck High School 1982, University of Bridgeport 1987 and New York Chiropractic Collage 1992. Dr Gambina became one of the leading Sports Chiropractic Physicians in the country winning state and national awards. She relocated to Venice Florida in 1994 with her wife Dr Joanne J. Fava and began FASTAR, which lead to her work at Nathan Benderson Park. Dr Gambina became the first Chief Medical Officer of the facility. Her knowledge and dedication to sports medicine, sports performance and the park has helped make it one of the leading rowing facilities in the world with one of the most comprehensive medical plans ever written for a facility of its caliper. Dr Gambina was often seen at triathlons and rowing events as the lead physician. Local athletes felt at ease knowing she was there and in charge of the medical side of the race. She is survived by her wife of 32 years Joanne and her sister Debbie Gambina of Croton on Hudson, NY. My beloved soulmate, my par'Mach'kai has passed through the gates of heaven. Her body will no longer adorn us on this precious earth, but her spirit and the memories we have shared will never leave us. She was the most incredible person I have ever met. So kind, so compassionate, so giving. She always gave more then she had, more than what was needed. She was the epitome of the worlds greatest giver. I will miss her, we will miss her. Our lives will forever be changed by her and because of her. May your life be greater because you knew her. May you continue to smile with every thought of her. May you find strength in her generosity and compassion and spread love in her honor. In lieu of flowers, her favorite charities were, Locally: Nate's Honor Animal Rescue in Bradenton, Florida and Nationally: St Jude's Childrens Research Hospital for Pediatric Cancer or an account has been set up in my name at Gulfside Bank 333 N Orange Ave Sarasota, Florida 34236 to accept donations to be given to the Charities at a later date.
