Dr. John Vincent Harris

Rev. Dr. John V. Harris was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 21, 1933. He departed this earthly life and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, July 22, 2015 in North Little Rock, AR. He was an Air Force veteran of 23 years where he retired as a chaplain with the rank of major. He is a former pastor of Eighth Street Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, AR. He is preceded in death by his father, John Henry Harris; mother, Sis. Inez Williams Davis and stepfather Mr. Mitchell Davis; sisters, Agnes Marie Williams and Margaret Morgan; brother, Elder Lawrence Harris, and nephew Jerry Harris; brother-in-law, Rev. Brodie L. Enoch, Jr. (SSgt, USAF-Ret.) He is survived by his wife of 39 years, MSgt Daisy Joanne Harris (USAF-Ret.), their two sons, Rev. John E. Harris (Jeanine) and Ch, Capt, Paul V. Harris (Eunitta); and three grandchildren, Joshua Michael Harris, Gabriel Elliott Harris, and Elise Marie Harris. His brother, Supt. Willie A. Harris, Sr. (Nancy); nephews, Theodore Harris, Jerome Lawrence Harris, Min. William A. Harris, Jr., Cameron T. Williams, Dylan M. Cole, Tyler L. Hopkins; nieces Marquetta Morgan, Calina Harris Becks and Sheila Harris; brother-in-law George R. Brown, Sr. (Marie); sisters-in-law Dr. Ruth D. Edwards, Edna L. Williams (Kelvin), Tyler A. Holmes (USN-Ret.) (John). Visitation, Wednesday, July 29 ~ 11:00 AM, Funeral Service ~ 12:00 PM., Romero Family Funeral Chapel, 4750 Tejon St., Denver, CO 80211. Interment to follow, Ft.
