Duane O. Keogh was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on September 25,1944 to his mother Nora Mae Keogh and his father Thomas Alfred Keogh. Duane went to Sunset High School but graduated from Lincoln High School. He played High School football as a quarterback, had he not hurt himself, he probably would have carried his football career further to the NFL. Duane eventually went on to try a few different careers out but was a welder at North West Marine Ironworks for 25 years. He married his wife Patricia Hanset on December 3,1976. Duane had four daughters Angie Donahoo, Angela Stockwell, Melanie Basinger & Carly Keogh. He had eleven wonderful grandchildren Duane loved to fish, go on camping trips with his family and walk on the beach hunting for agates. Spending time with his grandchildren was also one of his favorite things from taking them to McDonald's to get french fries or up to Annie's donuts up the street. Duane was not afraid of hard work especially for his friends and family, usually helping working on cars and trucks preferably on fords but not always. He would put brand-new motors in and change everyone's brake pads; if it was not American-made he would still do it but complain about not having the right tools but still did it because he loved it. We will miss you dearly and you shall always remain in our hearts. Duane is survived by four brothers Doyle, Dan, Dave, and Terry; three sisters Glea, Catherine and Norita; and eleven grandchildren: Laquesha Stockwell 21, Desiree Stockwell 19, Ryan Stockwell 18, McKenna Kerkes 15, Hailey Kerkes 14, Joscelyn Basinger 13, Brady Donahoo 13, Nick Kerkes 12, Zach Donahoo 10, Jimmie Swartz III 3 yrs and Mason Donahoo 2 yrs that he loved more than words can say. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 2710 NE 14th Ave, Portland. Service Information

Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home

At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
