Dugan Patrick Flynn

August 18th, 1974 - July 3rd, 2023

Dugan Patrick Flynn, was born August 18,1974, in Longmont, Colorado to Kathy and Jim Flynn. Dugan attended Hygiene Elementary, Longs Peak Jr. High and played youth soccer, football and baseball, plus high school football at Longmont High and was on the 1991 State Championship football team. He raised hogs for 4-H, enjoyed music and sang and danced in Show Choirs at Longs Peak and Longmont High graduating in 1993. He attended one year of college at UNC. He worked in various jobs until he achieved his journeyman electrician license in 2000. He worked at several companies as an electrician before settling into his present job with Wood Group in Mead (10 years). Fellow electricians described his work as being conscientious, reliable, capable, and precise. Dugan loved country life and raising his goats, chickens, a llama and his 3 dogs. Dugan had a huge heart and made lots of friends along his road of life. He loved teaching and working with his young son, Dermot (8) on the “farm” and was thrilled when his special gift of a Havanese-Doodle puppy, Peanut, delighted Dermot. They have become fast friends. Dermot was Dugan’s pride and joy. His oldest son , Patrick learned the welding trade at CDC, and Dugan was proud of him for securing a welding job and establishing a career. Dugan will be missed by his family and many friends for his work ethic, his fun stories, laughter, his enjoyment of a good meal and the very best “bear hugs.” He was predeceased by grandparents, Millie and William “Packy” Flynn and Priscilla and Max Christie (Missouri), plus step–brother Chad Clymer, and cousin, Stephanie Flynn. He is survived by his two sons, Patrick and Dermot, brothers Ryan (Angie), and Casey Flynn, nieces and nephew Emma, Abby and Porter Flynn, and step-sister Kami Clymer Hamilton (Nevada), his mother, Kathy Flynn and his father and step-mother, Jim and Khileen Flynn, God Mother, Gayle Zweck, and his friend and “Soul Mate,“ Kate Gschwind.
