Kim, Duk Song Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather Duk Song Kim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He was 70 years old. He was born on June 30, 1940 in the Republic of Korea, city of TongDuChon. Married to his loving wife, Kil Suk Kim on December of 1966. Mr. Kim brought his family to the United States in 1971 to live out his American Dream and to provide his children with endless opportunities. As a devoted father, Duk Song saw to it that his 3 children were given all the tools and resources to follow their dreams and be successful in life. As an entrepreneur, he started and maintained many successful businesses before finally retiring. He enjoyed many things in life but none more than being a grandfather and enjoying every minute with his 9 grand children. He also enjoyed golfing, gambling (especially the family games of black jack), investing in the stock market, gardening, nature, dancing with his wife, visiting the sauna and traveling. Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
