Earl passed away January 4, 2011 at the age of 80 at his home in Lakewood, Colorado. Earl was born on December 8, 1930 To Ella M Kaeding (Fuss) and Arthur L Fuss in York, Nebraska. Family history has been pasted down from generations dating back to the late 1800’s. Shortly after the civil war Earl’s Great Great Grandfather Fredrick Maronde’s family was the first Luthern pioneers to come from Prussia, Germany around 1869 on boat and landed in American where they hoped for good health, happiness, and land . With many hardships and travel they ended their journey in Nebraska, where they bulit there sod home on 160 acres – being the first Luthern Christian family to settle down to raise their animals and family on the land known as East Hill (later to be renamed as York, Neberaska). Earl was the second son to be born to Ella And Arthur Fuss. Their first son Elroy died at age 9 due to an injury from a horse. Earl’s journey in life was High School, college and then Military were he found his love for machinery and building any thing that had parts – from wooden boats to motorcycles and fast cars. Earl enjoyed many outdoor adventures from fishing to hunting with his sons, or just laying on the beach. Shortly after Military he met and married Norman Jean Stallings in 1957 and took a job with Aetna Insurance Company were he put in 30+ years as an Insurance agent. Earl and Jean were blessed with five wonderful children: Todd K Fuss, Zane G Fuss, Tera R Fuss, Kent Q Fuss and Kristal D Hopp Fuss. And 9 Grandchildren: Lacey, Chanel, Niki, Andrew, Brandon, Cinnamon, Austin, Alec and Paige. Son in-Law Jeffrey Hopp and Dauther in-Law Bambi Fuss. Earl and Jean seperated in 1970, when he remarried Bonny Maytubby in 1972 and had a son named Jeffery Earl Fuss in 1973. Surrounded by family and friends, Earl E Fuss’ service will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area “A”. May you rest in peace Dad. We love you.
