HAINES CITY - Edmond J. Landry, Jr., 78, of Haines City passed away at his home on Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was born May 11, 1937 in Spencer, MA to Edmond J. Landry, Sr. and Lillian (Charest) Landry. He graduated from Athol High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1962, first serving on the USS Rockbridge APA 228 then the USS Fulton. Mr. Landry was the founder/owner of Landry Construction Co, and former owner of Applewood Home for Elders. He was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church, American Legion, and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing pool, woodworking, playing cards and spending time with friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents; son Dean Landry; daughter Carla Murcell; and sister Jean Landry. He is survived by his son E.J. Landry III & wife Christine of MA; daughters Lisa Cashman of NH and Gizelle Cowart & husband Kevin of Melbourne, step daughters Jen Blow of Cape Coral & Jaclyn Carey of MA; brothers Robert Landry & wife Pam of MA, Roland Landry & wife Tannie of Melbourne and Fr. Francis Landry of PA; sisters Theresa Battaini of The Villages and Joyce Rouselle of MA; son in law Richard Murcell of MA; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
