Edward James Bertaux

Mr. Bertaux was born in 1920 in Deep Brook, Nova Scotia. The oldest son of Edward and Nina Bertaux, Ed grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts. A graduate of Brockton High School and attended MIT for two years. Edward is a WWII veteran in the Third Army under General Patton and served as a machinist in the US Army in Europe. Mr. Bertaux retired fro Positrol, Inc. where he was a Design Engineer. He married Bessie May Cross in 1943. He is survived by a sister, Lois Christie of Largo, FL, six children: christine Bertaux of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia Wolfard of Scottsdale, AZ and Barbara Clancy of Mesa, AZ, Richard Bertaux of San Diego, CA, ted Bertaux of Lawrenceburg, IN and Phyllis Henderson of Greenvill, C, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Bertaux of Cincinnati, OH and Elwyn Bertaux of Kernersville, NC. Ed was active in his church, and was one of the founding members of Southside Baptist Church in Tempe, AZ where he served on the Building Committee and Pastoral Serch Committee and served as Music Director for 7 years. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21st, 4:00PM at First Southern Baptist Church, 851 N. Stapley Dr., Mesa, AZ.
