Edward Cruz, II
November 30th, 1986 - July 14th, 2024
Edward “Eddie” Cruz, II, affectionately known as “Papo” and “Pumpkin”, was born at the Fairchild AFB in Spokane, WA on November 30, 1986 and passed away on July 14, 2024 at his residence in North Port at the age of 37. Edward was a designer & systems engineer in the Pool construction industry and a certified Controls Engineer with Pentair & Jandy. Edward was very talented in many areas, he loved working with hands building furniture, working on his truck, had a love of golf and extremely talented with a deck of cards. He had the biggest heart, and his smile would light up a room.
Edward is survived by his father, Edward Cruz of Nokomis, FL; his mother, Marie Griffin (Bruce) of Panama City, FL; a brother, Mark Allan Collins of Spokane, WA; a sister, Michelle Dawn Collins (Brett) of Spokane, WA, a brother Joshua Griffin (Jennie) of Tallahassee, Fl, sister Hannah Griffin of Panama City, Fl and his wife, Brittany Michelle Phillips of North Port, FL. He’s also survived by many family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A visitation will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 3:00PM-5:00PM with the service to begin at 3:00PM. To share a condolence or memory please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
