Edward F. Maltz, age 93, of North Port, Florida died on December 3, 2015. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 10, 1922 to Frederick and Fredricka (nee Elling) Maltz. Edward was a WWII Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Surviving family members include his daughters Sandra L. Harris of North Port, FL and Deborah L. Maltz-Benenati, of Colorado; grandchildren Michael J. LaPensee of Bradenton, FL, Michele J. Crouthamel of League City, TX, Jaci Trueblood, Nicholas Gourlay, Michael Gourlay, and Sage Benanati, all of Colorado; great grandchildren Tiffany Mondo of Parrish, FL, Nathan Crouthamel of League City, TX, Corey Crouthamel of League City, TX, and Melody Gourlay of Colorado; Skylar Gourlay of Michigan, Steve Gourlay of Michigan, L. Gourlay of Michigan, and Jai Gourlay of Sarasota, FL; Great Great Grandchildren Breanna Birmingham, Parrish, FL, and Gunner Birmingham, Parrish, FL Edward was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lenore Bertha Schuchard Maltz, on June 16, 2007. No services are scheduled at this time. Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
