Edward A. Wixler, age 84, of Venice, Florida, passed away on December 17, 2010. He was born on May 2, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois of Venice; daughter, Linda Meehan of Massachusetts; son, Keith of Dubai, UAE; daughter, Sandra Sheehan of New Jersey and son, Edward Wixler of New Jersey. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren. Services will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
