Edwin J. Klein, 82 of both Englewood, Florida and Howell, Michigan passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Englewood Community Hospital. Edwin was born March 30, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Harold Joseph and Anastasia Klein. Edwin has been a snowbird to Florida for the last 20 years. He was a cabinet maker for over 30 years. Edwin served during WWII with the United States Navy; he was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg, Michigan, The American Legion Post in Englewood, Florida, Past Commander of American Legion Post #419 in Pinckney, Michigan. He leaves behind two daughters; Janice Hereford of Pinckney, Michigan and Susan (Fritz) Sannes of Hartland, Michigan, one son; Joseph Klein of Flint, Michigan, grandchildren; Kristopher, Sarah, and Kyle Hereford, April Klein, Derrick Ronowski, Joey and Samantha Klein. The family will hold a service at a later date in Michigan.
