Edythe May Pugne, 83, of The Villages, Florida passed away January 3, 2019 at her home in The Villages, Florida. She was the wife of Frank Pugne for 24 years. Edythe was born in New York, New York a daughter of the late Francis and Irene Young. She spent over 40 years as a teacher with 30 years at Shaler School District, Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Pittsburgh and her Master’s Degree from Penn State. She enjoyed arranging flowers. She couldn’t wait to get to her Villages home and her lemon tree. Edythe is survived by her husband, Frank Pugne and son, J R Miller and his wife, Ginny of Exton, PA and daughters, Karen Sorgen and her husband, John of West Bloomington, MI and Linda Thurnher and her husband Bryan of Allison Park, PA. She has 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
