Eldridge R. Henderson

Eldridge was born May 4, 1932 in Union County, Florida on his family's farm. He was a long time resident of the town of Lake Hamilton. He had a love for gardening and could make anything grow. He loved to travel and see the beauty in all things. He served as an Army Medic in the 102nd Airborne Division, AKA the "Screaming Eagles." He was stationed in Germany at the end of WWII with the occupational forces. Eldridge also had a real passion for music. He graduated from broadcasting school and went on to work in Nashville, Arizona, and eventually settling in Polk County where he helped set up WPCV radio station. Eldridge is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Henderson. They were married for 21 years. They were married at the Orlando Temple in 1996. Eldridge is survived by his 2 children, Stephen Henderson and Melissa Hamm; 4 grandchildren Kayla Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Andrea Gaiser and Conner Gaiser; loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Eldridge is preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Murlia Henderson, his brothers Linville Henderson, Hubert Henderson, sister Voncile Moore, and late wife Samette Henderson. The funeral service for Eldridge R. Henderson will be held Monday, June 12th at 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - 2309 9th Street, Haines City, FL 33844.
