Eleanor Jean Lind, 81, of Wright died Saturday, March 27, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born June 22, 1928 in Castana, Iowa to Elmer and Ruth Davis. At the age of 2, she moved to Wrenshall with her mother and grandmother. Eleanor married Melvin Lind on Sept. 28, 1944 and was blessed with four children. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, WELCA; and the Wright Senior Citizens. Eleanor enjoyed ice fishing, flower gardening, doing embroidery and quilting. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin in 2006; one son, Kenneth in 2007; brothers, Glenn and Floyd Davis; and sister, Phyllis "June" Cook. She is survived by two sons, James (Jean) Lind and Wayne (Carri) Lind all of Wright; daughter, Lois Sorenson of Cromwell; daughter-in-law, Geri Lind of Cromwell; eleven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Eleanor and the family would like to thank three special friends, Madelyn Adelsgruber, Diane Anderson and Aurelia Hemmila for all they have done. They have done so much. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright. Burial was in Wright Public Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Atkins-Northland Funeral Home.
