Eleanor A. Smith 96 of North Port, Florida passed away December 31, 2019. She was born February 2, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Alfonse and Stella Blogin-Jenkins. Eleanor will be remembered as a classy lady, kind, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a confident women in all her endeavors, raising her children, work and love of golf. Survivors include her daughter Diane Strick of North Port, Florida sons Joseph Strick (Annette) of Prarie Village, Kansas and Kent Strick (Charla) of Olathe, Kansas. Grandchildren include Seth Strick, Britt Sherer (Brandon), Gayle O'Grady and Amy Haulmark, Kristen Strick and Brandon Strick. Great grandchildren include Joey and Sophia Sherer. Sisters include Estelle Witt (Tom), Carol Laddish (Leon), Annette Fehn (Henry), and her brother Phillip Jenkins (Shirley). In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. Emily Martin, Bernice Jung, Walter Jenkins, Vincent Jenkins, Jimmy Joe Jenkins. The Memorial Mass will be held on January, 21st 2020 at San Pedro Catholic Church at 10:00 am. with internment immediately following, at the Grotto. A celebration of Eleanor's life will be held at a later date in Kansas City Kansas. Memorial donations may be made to San Pedro Catholic Church or to Tidewell Hospice.
