Obituary for Elijah Walker McMichael ~ 7/27/18 Elijah Walker McMichael (10 lbs. 3.6 oz. and 22 inches), infant son of Rebecca and Larry McMichael, passed gently into the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at 9:09 pm at Palmetto Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. Survivors include his parents, Rebecca and Larry McMichael; his big sisters, Emily and Cayce McMichael; paternal grandmother, Sarah McMichael of Columbia and maternal grandmother, Susan Cox of Columbia; aunts, Becky McMichael of Columbia, Misty McMichael of Tennessee, Kelly Regalis of Gaston and Kerrie Myers of Elgin; uncles, Jeff McMichael of Columbia, Steve McMichael of Tennessee, Heath Regalis of Gaston and J.P. Myers of Elgin; cousins, Andrew and Eli McMichael of Columbia, Camden McMichael of Tennessee, Jacob, Bri (Greyson) and Keegan Regalis of Gaston, Hunter, Kody, Noah and Natallie Myers of Elgin. Along with a ton of extended family and friends. Elijah is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ralph McMichael and maternal grandfather, Michael Cox and great grandfather, Dale Cox. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at 9:30 am at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Leesburg Road in Columbia, SC. We little knew that morning; God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly; In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.
