Elio Tasin
May 5th, 1926 - March 5th, 2018
Elio “Joe” Tasin passed away Monday March 5, 2018, at the age of 91, at Sutter Delta Hospital in Antioch, California. Born May 5, 1926 in Bradford, Pa he was a son of the late Matteo and Rosaria (Vecellio) Tasin. Joe was preceded in death by his second wife Betty (Shoemaker) Tasin of 45 years, two brothers Albert Tasin, Rocky Tasin and one sister Marion Booth. He was a World War II Veteran, and served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sargent, he was attached to the 44th division, 71st infantry, company E. On February 1, 1947 in Allegany, NY, he married Lorena (Nellis) Tasin who survives. He was also married to the late Betty Shoemaker, in Los Vegas, NV on April 5, 1971. Joe worked as a Security Guard in Denver, CO where he retired from. After his retirement he worked as a driver for the Auto Auction. Joe was an avid Woodworker, making many fine pieces for family and friends, Golfer which he enjoyed with his wife Betty, Bowler and a BIG Baseball fan. Surviving in addition to his Ex-wife Lorena, are a daughter, Sharen (Lewis) Clark of Sibley, Louisiana and a son Paul (Kathleen) Tasin of San Ramon, California, two grandchildren, four great grandsons. Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver Colorado, and Date to be announced. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the All Veterans Funeral Homes Inc. Westminster, Colorado In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
