Elizabeth Katherine Coelho

Elizabeth Katherine Coelho, loving mother and friend to many, went home to her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born on April 11, 1933 in Chandler, AZ, to her parents Eugene Joseph and Pearl Lyall Dougherty. Elizabeth was the third of five children: Eugene Dougherty, Patricia Barrett, Adair McCook and Barry Dougherty. Her five children were the love of her life. Elizabeth enjoyed family gatherings with her children, Kimberly (Lynn) Wright, Stacee (Kimber) Johnson, Danna (Paul) Cardinalli, Shannon Enriquez and Lee (Ruth) Coelho. Her legacy of love and life lives on in her grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Brianna, Hilary, Meghan, Spencer, Keith, Laurel, Paulie, Zachery, Shelby and Katherine. The sunshine of her life was when her great grandchildren Tatum, Lainey, Tucker and Brooklyn joined the family. Another very important person in Elizabeth's life was and always will be her companion and partner Robert F. Aumack of 41 years. Elizabeth's 48 year career in the medical field began as a registered nurse at the old Monterey Hospital and ended in 2003 with CHOMP as Quality Assurance Coordinator. After her retirement Elizabeth enjoyed her home in Pebble Beach and working in her garden. Another love for her was the giving of her time to her beloved Catholic Church, San Carlos Cathedral. She also loved being an active member of the Carmel Orchid Society and spending happy times with her special friends known as the fork and cork bunch.The family would like to acknowledge all the love, support and guidance they received from Dr. Cassandra Ohlsen, the Stanford Pulmonary Clinic staff and team and Monterey VNA Hospice for helping them provide the best care possible for their mother at the end of her life.
