Elizabeth Hanson, 90, of Cloquet, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. She was the 10th child born to Richard and Kathryn Huisinger in Lake Lillian, MN. She married Ivan Hanson in 1952 and lived in Cloquet, MN. Elizabeth was a Sunday school teacher and cared for many foster children in her home. She worked for Diamond Match Mill, Golden Gate Motel, Copper Skillet, Pamida, and worked as a Green Thumb Area Representative for three counties until she was 72. Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former member of Cloquet Gospel Tabernacle. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her infant son, Paul; the father of her children, Ivan Hanson; brothers, George, Dick, Ralph, Peter, Martin, and William; and sisters, Ella, Kathryn, Ralphina, and Jennie. She is survived by her son, Merlin (Bonnie) Hanson of Gilbert, AZ; daughters, Karen (Duane) Mattson of Hayden, ID and Judy (Carl) Dahlman of Coeur d'Alene, ID; grandchildren, Amber, Lanae and Kylie; and sisters, Ann (Loren) Terp and Carolyn Lehikoinen, both of Cloquet and Rose Rochek of Deer Park, WA. The family would like to give special thanks to those who cared for Elizabeth these past years at Villa Vista Cardinal Court in Cromwell. Funeral Services were held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet followed by a lunch in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Private burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Sunday School.
