Elizabeth Betty Sikorski
February 12th, 1938 - October 27th, 2008
Elizabeth “Betty” Sikorski, 70, of Venice passed away October 27, 2008. She was born February 12, 1938 in Ayr, Scotland. Betty was a Woman’s Auxiliary Member of V.F.W. and a golf member of Capri Island in Venice, FL. In Taunton Betty was a former member of Segregansett Golf Club, past president of the woman’s association of the Boys’ Club, a former manager of So Fro Fabrics in Taunton and worked in the sales department of Haveg Industries. Sewing was a hobby she also enjoyed during her lifetime. She was a member of the French-American sewing Circle in Combres France while stationed there with her husband, Joe in the AirForce. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and helping others. Survivors include her husband, Joseph “Joe” S. Sikorski; son, Jake (Tetyana) Sikorski of North Port, FL; daughter, Sharon (John) Lenz of Austin, TX; three grandchildren: Ryan Sikorski, Peter and Kathryn Lenz; great granddaughter, Victoria Dmitrieva; one sister, Kathleen (Alan) Whitfield of Toronto, Canada; niece, Karen Whitfield and husband, Eric Colquhoun; niece, Elizabeth Whitfield. Loving mother and wonderful person to her children and husband, she will be sadly missed by all her friends and family.
