Ellis P. Damron

Ellis P. Damron, 79, of Haines City, FL passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Spring Lake Nursing Center. He was born on December 13, 1939 to Ellis and Clittie (Newsome) Damron in Pikeville, KY. He first moved to Youngstown, OH, where he and his wife, Joyce, raised their family. They later moved to Haines City, FL in 1984 where he owned and operated his own construction business, "Ellis Damron Construction", until his eventual retirement. He made Haines City his home for the remainder of his life. He was of the Baptist faith and attended the Dundee Church of Christ. Ellis was a skilled carpenter and contractor. He also loved to fish. He was blessed with a sense of humor and a lively spirit. He was a devoted family man and husband. He touched the lives of all those that knew him. He will be greatly missed. Ellis was predeceased in death by his loving wife Joyce, parents Ellis and Clittie Damron Bearcraft, daughter Theresa Mea Damron, and sisters Molly Lee, Bertha and Mary B.. He is survived by his loving daughters; Tammy Marie Boyd, Tina Mae Hayes, and Christine E. Damron. Ellis also leaves behind his sisters; Madge, Georgia Faye, and brothers; John, and James. Ellis was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2 PM with the service immediately afterwards at 3 PM, Pastor Butch Maynard from the Dundee Church of Christ will officiate, at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care, in Haines City, FL
