BATESBURG-LEESVILLE: Funeral service for Eloise Burgess Hall, 93, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Westside Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Clint Lawyer and Pastor Billy Padgett. Interment will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert "Bob" Hall, Ernie Clarke, Steve Wingard, Michael Peacock, Arthur Hall and Frank Farr. Honorary pallbearers will be Drew Floyd, Andy Hall and Christopher Wingard. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169, or to Mount Ebal Baptist Church, 5 Lion Loop, Batesburg, SC 29006. Mrs. Hall, widow of Percy Quincy Hall, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Burley Steveson Burgess and Daisy Lou Fox Burgess. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Hall was a loving mother and grandmother; and loved to garden and grow flowers. Survivors include: daughters, Hazel (Roy) Clarke of Lexington and JoAnn Hicks of Florence; son, Robert "Bobby" (Betty) Hall of Leesville; five grandchildren, Robert "Bob" Hall, Cindy Clarke Farr (Frank), Ernie Clarke, Lois Clarke Conness, Tammy Hicks Floyd (Walker); nine great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Percy Quincy Hall; grandson, Steve Hall; granddaughter, Terrie Hicks; brothers, Burley Burgess and J.W. Burgess and son-in-law, Joseph Hicks.
