Emmie Muller Wolfe Bozard Sandy Run-Funeral services for Emmie Muller Wolfe Bozard, 93, of Sandy Run, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Sandy Run Lutheran Church, 1927 Old State Road, Swansea, SC 29160. Officiating will be Pastor Robert W. Hawkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and granddaughters and their spouses. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sandy Run WELCA Members. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mrs. Bozard passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Born in Calhoun County (Sandy Run) on November 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John Adam and Pearl Muller Wolfe. She was a member of Sandy Run Lutheran Church, where she taught for many years Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a Life Member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Women's Auxiliary of the Lutheran Theological Seminary. She enjoyed reading, and loved to fish with her cane pole and her straw hat. She enjoyed teaching at the Sandy Run Community Center Children's Fun Time. She was a people person and everyone loved her. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan Phipps (Jim), Linda Dugger (Gary) and Elaine Ott (Charles); sons and daughter-in-law, Harry Bozard (Linda) and Donald Bozard; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Wolfe Steele. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawton Leroy Bozard, daughters, Felicia Haigler, Helen Ridgeway and Karen Dowd.
