Esther Wacker
January 5th, 1922 - March 3rd, 2016
Esther Wacker was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on January 5, 1922 to Fred and Mary Cook. She was the oldest of eight children. Esther went to her heavenly home on March 3, 2016 at Medalion Assisted Living in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She married Raymond Betz in 1942. Raymond died in WWII. Their daughter Linda Jean was later adopted by Harry Wacker after their marriage August 17, 1946. Peggy Sue and Thomas Lee were born of their union.Esther was preceded in death by her husband Harry, daughter Peggy, three brothers, three sisters and her parents. She is survived by her brother; Danny (June) Cook of Carlsbad, California, daughter; Linda of Gillette, Wyoming, son; Thomas (Cynthia) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Harry and Esther also raised their granddaughter Kimberly after her mother's death in 1970 and always considered her their daughter.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Faith Evangelical Covenant Church, 4965 Barnes Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80917. Rev. Naas Tredoux and Chaplain Tracy Hilts will officiate.The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Medalion Assisted Living and Pike Peak Hospice for their loving care. Memorials may be made in Esther's name to Pike Peak Hospice in lieu of flowers.
