Eurelle Erma Eden

Eurelle E. Eden, beloved wife and mother, went to her eternal rest on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2015. Eurelle was a lively and loving mother of four and a friend to many people in her community. Eurelle served in several capacities during her 35 years as a member of the Woodmen Valley Church. She was out for lunch at a local restaurant with two of her sons only days before she passed on peacefully in her bed.Eurelle was a native of Cordell, Oklahoma, born April 24, 1923. After graduating from Cordell High School in 1941, Eurelle met Alvin Eden who became her husband in 1943. They moved to Colorado where Alvin became the foreman of a ranch in Fountain. Eurelle was soon managing the daily activities of ranch life, sometimes preparing meals for several other cattlemen who came to help with the roundup and branding. It was a big change for her, having grown up in town.Over the next twenty years there came three sons and a daughter – Spencer Mark Eden, Paul Weston Eden, Joel Bret Eden and Leah Marie Eden Carson. Alvin later pursued a career in the insurance business. Meanwhile, Eurelle was a devoted mom who ran the kids to music lessons and sports events at school. Eurelle is survived by her four children, Spencer Mark ( Lori A.) Eden, Paul Weston Eden, Joel Bret (Jacqueline) Eden and Leah Marie (Craig) Carson; and her six grandchildren, Kris J. Eden, Stephen Eden, Samuel Eden, Gabriel Eden, Cameron Carson and Zachary Carson.One of Eurelle's friends described Eurelle a "gatherer." And many who knew her will be gathering at 11:00AM, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery for a brief graveside service and 1:00PM at Woodmen Valley Church for a Memorial Service.
