Evangelina Lopez of Winter Haven, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 from cancer at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 64. A native of Cerro De Los Gregorios, Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico, born February 13, 1949 to Julian and Marta Garcia Atilano. She was a homemaker, and member of the Wahneta United Methodist Church. Evangelina is survived by her husband: Jose Mercade Lopez of Winter Haven, her daughters: Teresa Hernandez (Abel), Maria DeLa Paz Lopez, Ofelia Trejo (Sixto)Elvia Rodriquez (Alejandro), all of Winter Haven, Florida, and Marisol Lopez (Emilio) of Haines City. She also has two sons: Macario Lopez, and Ricardo Lopez (Oralia), both of Winter Haven; 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several sisters and a brother in Mexico. Visitation will be from 9 to 11AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 11AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Auburndale Memorial Park.
