Evelyn Chalifoux

Mrs. Evelyn Chalifoux, 85, died on Saturday, February 4, 2017, in Winter Haven, Florida. She was born in Willimantic, Connecticut on April 30, 1931 to Wilfred and Margaret Phaneuf and moved to Haines City, Florida six years ago from Willimantic. She was retired from the University of Connecticut, a Life Member of the B.P.O.E., and of the Catholic faith. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Ann M. Freeman and husband Jeff of Haines City, a sister Jeanne Munson of Hastings, Minnesota, brothers Robert Phaneuf of Willimantic and Wilfred Phaneuf of California, two grandchildren Sheri King and Jeff Freeman, Jr. and one great grandchild Noah Freeman. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, her parents, and a brother Lt. Col. Richard Phaneuf, Ret. Funeral Mass and interment will be held in Connecticut.
