Memorial

Fernando Jerry Gonzales "Cholo" was born on Monday, April 7, 1941 in Trinidad, Colorado to Epifanio Gonzales and Grace Emma Griego. He was the tenth of ten children born in the family. Fernando learned and grew up fast in Denver's North Side community where he met many close friends and enjoyed spending his time. Over the years he was a business man who had owned and managed several bars in Denver. He loved listening to oldies from the 50's and shooting pool, but his favorite thing to do was spending time with family and friends. Many knew him as "Cholo" and he was well known and respected. He had a passion for old cars and cruising. His favorite saying was, "Slow and Low, Light and Right and Outta Sight!" A generous and giving man; Fernando was the life of the party. He was for sure "One of a Kind" and his love and all of his ways will always be cherished in our hearts. On Wednesday, February 27, 2022 Fernando entered into eternal life where he is joined with his Parents; Epifanio Gonzales and Grace Griego, Brothers; Richard Ramirez, Ralph Gonzales, Epifanio Gonzales, and Dave "Sunny" Trujillo, Sisters; Vera Martinez, Delores Martinez, and Alice Trujillo. He is survived by Sons; Ralph Gonzales, and Jerry Gonzales (Krista Quintana), Daughter; Bridgett Gonzales, Sisters; Sally Canada, Bertha Rose Mendez, and Gloria Prerad, along with several grand and great grandchildren. Fernando will always be remembered and cherished by those who had the opportunity to get to know him.
