Florence Iona Dudley

Age 86, of St. Paul She was preceded in death by parents, Leroy and Lorraine Dudley; brothers, Thomas Lenel and Larry Dudley; and sister Doris Shively. She is survived by her children, Donald E. Hudson, Jr. (Jennifer) and Natalie E. Hudson (Willie); sisters, Nedra (Don) Ellington, Quillard (Wilbert) Irby, Vivienne Williams, Audrey Nichols Harris and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Florence was a person of faith and was an active member of Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church in St. Paul. She was a life-long educator who taught both middle school and high school in the Minneapolis Public School System for over 30 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed activities with the Urban Partnership Seniors’ Group. She was a vibrant, feisty lady who was small in stature, but who had an out-going, warm personality that was bigger than life. Florence was generous with her time and resources and often went out of her way to help others. She loved her family and her many friends and could talk up a storm. Florence loved traveling, both nationally and internationally, music (gospel and blues), clothes and shoes! There will be a Memorial Service on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt.
