Floyd Green, 92, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 8, 2019. He was born on March 26, 1927 in Sidnaw, Michigan, the son of the late Floyd and Minnie (Powell) Green. Floyd graduated from Interior Township High School, Trout Creek, Michigan in 1944, and earned his Bachelor Degree in Business from Western Michigan University in 1949. He was a long-time resident of Bay City and Berrien Springs, Michigan, and after his retirement, Lake Placid, Florida. Floyd enjoyed a successful 30-year career in Human Resources and Labor Relations with Clark Equipment Company, Buchanan, Michigan. His community service included Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for Berrien General Hospital, Berrien Center, Michigan, Volunteer Fireman for Sun n' Lakes Community in Lake Placid, Florida, and various lay positions for the United Methodist Churches of which he was a member. Floyd was a devoted family man, skilled outdoorsman, avid traveler, accomplished farmer and enthusiastic golfer. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Edna Arndt Green, children Gregory (Maureen), Brenda (John Jones IV), Laura Green Ehninger and Michelle Hendrix (Dane), seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Bay City, Michigan at a date to be determined. Donations in Floyd's name may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
