Floyd Hudspeth, 82, a lifelong resident of Haines City, FL passed away on September 23, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. He was born on July 12, 1941 in Booneville, Arkansas to Walter and Iven Bethel Hudspeth. Floyd moved to Florida in 1972 from Aurora, IL, worked in the construction industry most of his life as a cement finisher and he was of the Baptist faith. Floyd found fulfillment when he worked around his house remodeling and helping others in what he could. His love for the great outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing and boat rides, which meant cherished moments of relaxation and joy. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, creating lasting bonds and memories. With his infectious sense of humor, Floyd was a constant source of laughter, earning a special place in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Iven; wife, Linda McCoy Hudspeth; son, Floyd Damon Hudspeth; and thirteen siblings. Floyd was survived by his daughter, Carrie Gardner and husband, Ruben of Haines City, FL; sisters, Lorene Piatz of Aurora, IL and Debbie Cline of Fisk, MO; grandchildren, Hailey Hudspeth and Meranda Hudspeth both of Haines City, FL.
