Forrest Perl Thompson, owner of FPT Investigative Services, died on May 19, 2011. The service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Wednesday May 25, 2011 at 3:00pm, staging area A. Mr. Thompson was born October 13, 1930 in Vandalia, Illinois to William Perl Thompson and Ollie (McNeese) Thompson. He was married December 23, 1953 in Tokyo, Japan to Maxine M. Takamatsu, of Vancouver, Canada, who survives. Also surviving are their daughter, Sharon Farris, of Lockhart, Texas; three sons, Neal of Colorado Springs, and Alan and William of Denver; ten grandchildren; Seven Great-grandchildren; and a sister, Reeta Davis, of Ocean Springs, MS. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Thompson served in the Army from 1948 to 1956 and in the Air Force from 1956 to 1969. He was awarded the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with three campaign stars, the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster. He retired as Master Sergeant from the Air Force and served as a management analyst for the Department of Defense. Mr. Thompson was a past Master Counselor, Order of DeMolay, and a 32nd Degree member of the Denver Consistory, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
