Francis "Frank" Overton Harvey

Francis “Frank” Overton Harvey, 70, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home after an extended illness. He is survived by his two former wives, Sarah M. Harvey of Lynchburg and Sarah Branham of Staunton, VA. Born May 9, 1951, in Beckley, WVA, he was a son of the late Francis Warren Harvey and Eva Marion Harvey. Frank graduated from Amherst County High School and later graduated from the Lynchburg General Hospital School of Nursing. He was retired from Lynchburg General Hospital where he was a Registered Nurse and IT Instructor in nursing. Frank was a former member of the Lynchburg Life Saving Crew, where he loved to serve the public. He was a wonderful cook and prepared many dishes for his friends and family. He loved Disney World and was an expert with “everything Disney”. Frank enjoyed trivia and had a story to tell you. He is survived by his son, Matthew R. Harvey and his fiance’, Jamie Volosin; one brother, David W. Harvey and his wife, Helen, of Rainelle, WVA; one sister, Arizona Jane Pyles and her husband, David, of CA; one granddaughter Michaela Harvey; many nieces and nephews that really loved their uncle Frank. He was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Roland Marrical and his wife, Sandra . The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021 followed by a celebration of Franks life at 1:00 PM at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with the Rev. Dan G.
