Frank C. Freeman, 74 of North Port, Florida passed away November 28, 2007 at Sarasota Health and Rehabilitation. Frank was born January 17, 1933 in Eagle Lake, Maine to Levy and Julia (Martin) Freeman. Frank and his wife Rita moved to North Port over 30 years ago from Foxboro, Mass. Frank who founded Freeman Homes was instrumental in the growth and the remodeling of homes in the North Port and Venice area. He served with the United States Army in Korea during WWII from 1952 to 1954. Frank could build anything, He was an artist, a gentleman, a true Irishman, but it was his poetry writing that his wife Rita cherishes. Frank had a great sense of humor. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father to his family. Frank is survived by his wife Rita of 43 years, daughter; Michelle Freeman of Portland, Oregon, son; John F. Freeman of Los Angeles, California, daughter; Mary Freeman of the United States Air Force, brother; Gerald Freeman of Connecticut, sister; Geraldine Sell of Maine, sister in laws; Regina Reilly, Joan and Robert Manning, Judith and Dr. Kevin Fallon, Dr. Dorothy Riley and husband Tim, nephew; Stephen and Nancy Horgan and many nieces and nephews. Frank is preceded in death by his one son Daniel T. Freeman and brother in law Paul D. Reilly.
