Frank Furlong, III

Frank Furlong, III, 66 years of age. Died on November 24, 2019 of natural causes. He was diagnosed earlier this year with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Frank graduated from Watertown High School Class of 1971. He was a Veteran of the Navy and was stationed at the Naval Base San Diego. He retired from the US Post Office after 25 years of service. In recent years, Frank moved to The Villages in Florida, where he enjoyed riding around in his golf cart, and especially enjoyed playing cards at Lake Miona, Laurel Manor and Canal Street Recreation Centers. He was loved and will be missed by his family. He leaves his parents and siblings: Frank and Lorraine Furlong, of Watertown, MA; Darlene and Barry Checchi of New Durham, NH, Brenda and Mark Doherty, of Reading, MA and Michael and Kara Burbank Furlong of Andover, MA Frank was also pre-deceased by his mother Joan Scott Furlong and his grandmother Emma Furlong, both of Watertown, MA In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Barry’s House, a halfway house in Beverly, Massachusetts.
