Frank Gioia
February 23rd, 1931 - September 28th, 2011
Frank was born on February 23, 1931 in New York City, N.Y. to Frank & Nellie Gioia. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Air Force, and served during the Korean War. In time, he left New York and ventured west, were he met the love of his life. In 1961 he married Carol P. Walsh, and thus the life he dreamed of began. Together they raised five children, and eventually enjoyed 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grand children. After 36 years, with Sears, Roebuck & Co. as one of their top salesman in the nation, Frank retired. Over the years, Frank instilled in his children that, above all else, family is everything. This passion for family was then passed on to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; this is the legacy Frank left us. He is survived by his wife Carol, his son Frank J Gioia, Jr. (Dina), his daughters; Carolyn Sutton (Tom), Deirdre Clouse (Jeff), Joanne Trujillo (Moe), and Rosemary Hebel (Deon), grandchildren; Chris Sutton, Melissa Thieme (Tom), Eric Sutton, Tyler Clouse, Frank Gioia III, Nichole Trujillo, Brett Gioia, Alicia Clouse, Rachael Sutton, Joshua Trujillo, Megan Gioia, Devon Clouse, David Hebel, Jordan Trujillo, Andrew Hebel, Matthew Hebel, and great-grandchildren; Rylee and Shelby Thieme. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank & Nellie Gioia, two brothers, one sister, and his grandson, Rion Trujillo. Frank John Gioia, Sr., 80, passed away on September 28, 2011, surrounded by his family♥
