Fred S. Stevenson, age 76, of Brighton, CO, died Friday, November 7, 2014 in Louisville, CO. He was born to Fred G. & Lyda Stevenson on June 29, 1938 in McNeil, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, George Mark Stevenson & Timothy Lafayette Stevenson. His survivors include wife, Virginia “Ginger” Plyler Stevenson of Brighton, CO.; son, Randal Stevenson and his wife, Connie of Lubbock, TX and daughter, Kara Stevenson Gill and her husband, Brian of Rogers, AR; sisters, Glyna Patterson of St. Louis, MO and Jalynn Johnson of Beebe, AR.; two granddaughters Christy Gill Rallens and Katherine Gill; one step granddaughter, Victoria Benitez; and one great granddaughter, Deborah Rallens. Fred served in the Army from January 1958 through October 1960. He was ordained as a Missionary Baptist minister by First Missionary Baptist Church of Mabelvale, Mabelvale, AR in 1983. He pastored churches in AR, CO, and TX. Military burial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., November 28, 2014 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, in Fayetteville, AR. Bro. Bobby Grimes officiating the service.
