Frederick Daniel Wildman

Frederick Daniel Wildman, 90, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away May 28, 2016 at WJB Dorn VA Medical Center Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on September 13, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York to Emanuel and Rebecca (Fleisher) Wildman. Fred spent two years in the US Army where he was able to use his engineering degree to teach officers to build roads. After his service in the army, he went to work for Home Credit Finance which moved him and his young family to Savannah, GA and eventually to Columbia, SC. He spent the remainder of his career as a real estate agent with Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors in Columbia, SC. After he retired, he volunteered teaching adults to read and also as a guardian ad litem. The remainder of his life was spent enjoying his family, particularly his great grandchildren. Fred is survived by his daughter; Wendy Aubert (Ted) of Columbia SC, sons; James Wildman (Anita) of Colorado Springs CO, Robert Wildman (Suzanne) of Columbia SC, John Wildman (Regina) of Columbia SC, grandchildren; Amy Fling, Cindy Moorer, Daniel Aubert, Zachary Wildman, Nathan Wildman, Olivia Wildman, Amanda Wildman, David Wildman, great grandchildren: Kevin Moorer and Dylan Aubert, sisters; Lucille Playfair of New York and Winifred White (Gordon) of Texas. Fred also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Suzanne (Millette) Wildman, and a brother Richard Wildman Funeral services will be held in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia SC, 29209 on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 4:30 PM with Pastor Terry Roberts officiating. Interment will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Church, 1501 Hallbrook Drive, Columbia SC, 29209.
