In Loving Memory of Gary Wayne Mitchell (Pancho) May 23, 1949 - August 15, 2015 Birth Life January 5, 2015- Forever Eternal Life I fought the good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. 11 Timothy 4:7 Gary Mitchell affectionately known as Pancho. Born to Loretta Cox and the Late Allen Mitchell in Los Angeles, California A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing the voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the laughter, the song, the good life I've lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is a rest. Remember all, How I was truly blessed. Continue Traditions, no matter how small. Go with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we're together again. His legacy lives on through......His mother, Lorretta Wanton, His children, Kary Mitchell, Gary Mitchell (Season), Joan Gains, Charlisha, Lashanta, and Brittney Mitchell, His siblings, Terry Mitchell, Constance Lee (Patrick), Keith Mitchell, Sheila Connor (Gerald), Carla Anderegg, Andre and Vernia Williams, Lamark, Elsie Rita, Carlette, Jamie, Vernia, and Donte Wanton. Gary Moody, Francine Moody, Sidney Mitchell, Laurie Mitchell, his children's mother of 31 years, Annalisa Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his step father, Dave Wanton and Sis Julie Brandon.

For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
