Gary Gene Sanders, Sr., 77, died March 1, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born August 27, 1944 in Rifle, Colorado. Gary was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry. He operated large dump trucks in Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mine.He loved going to the mountains and arrowhead hunting. He made arrowheads and liked rocks. Gary was a hard worker, funny and very kind. He would give you the shirt off his back. Gary loved country music, and the music of Roy Orbison. He also loved watching sermons by Joel Osteen. He was a very spiritual man. Gary is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Roberts; sons, Gary Sanders, Jr., David Sanders, Eric Sanders, and Jeremy Sanders; daughters, Kelly McGee and Amanda Sanders; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.
